Hospice Healthcare Assistant

We are looking for kind and dedicated people to help deliver exceptional care on behalf of East Cheshire Hospice. You will join a team of healthcare professionals providing support to patients and their families on our In-Patient Unit, and in their own homes throughout the East Cheshire region.

We take the time to see beyond the patient's condition, to provide holistic care to the whole person, and their loved ones. Our essential and well supported teams work closely with partners in the NHS, as well as other charities, to complement existing local services within our community.

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £22,816 - £24,336 plus 20%-night work, 20% Saturday, 40% Sunday enhancement.

You will need:

  • An interest in providing compassionate, high-quality care to people with life limiting illnesses.
  • An interest in furthering your training and development.
  • An appreciation that every patient, every home, and every situation is unique.
  • A willingness to become a vital part of a person's daily routine to help them live with their illness.
  • An ability to travel independently throughout the Cheshire East and High Peak areas.
  • The ability to work rotational shifts across a 4-week shift pattern.
