Charity Volunteer - Medway & Rochester

Make a Difference in a Young Person's Life - Become a Volunteer with Our Youth Group!

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people?

Do you have the energy, creativity, and commitment to inspire the next generation?

If so, we want YOU to join our team!

We need volunteers in your area: Medway (General) & Rochester

Our youth group provides a safe and engaging space where young people can build meaningful relationships, learn new skills, and stay away from negative influences such as gangs and other harmful activities. We focus on fostering confidence, self-esteem, and resilience among our participants through a variety of activities and programs.

As a volunteer with our youth group, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Gain valuable experience working with young people and develop your leadership skills
  • Be part of a fun and dynamic team making a real difference in your community
  • Enjoy activities such as games, sports, arts, and crafts, tailored to the interests of our young participants
  • Support our young people in building confidence, self-esteem, and resilience
  • Participate in fun outings and trips, both locally and further afield
  • Engage in a NYA Level 2 Youth Work Qualification (optional and if available at the time).

Our youth group meets weekly/fortnightly, with flexible session times to suit your availability. We're looking for volunteers who can commit to at least 2 hours per session.

All travel costs are reimbursed, and full training provided. Time commitment required is approximately two hours per week.

Who can apply?

  • Anyone aged 18+ who want to make a difference in a young person's life
  • Those who would like to gain more experience working with young people in any field (e.g. education, social work, counselling)
  • Individuals who are patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental

To apply, send us your name, email address and contact number via this advert and we will be in touch to start your journey with The Young Lives Foundation.

This is a voluntary role (unsalaried)

Roles are subject to Enhanced DBS checks and suitable references.
