Location: Manchester City Centre, fully office based

Hours: Mon-Fri (9am-5pm)

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own portfolio, ensuring client understanding, supporting promotion, developing effective client communications, and identifying further revenue opportunities.

What you'll do:

As a Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing existing accounts within your portfolio. You will engage with clients and intermediaries on a daily basis, managing renewal terms, conducting telephonic review meetings, maintaining accurate CRM records, and negotiating renewal pricing. Your proactive approach will ensure that targets are met for contract retention levels and premium renewals. You will also have the opportunity to identify further revenue opportunities by promoting additional services. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with various stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Manage a portfolio of EAP clients, intermediaries, and Occupational Health clients with a one-year contract value of under £3,000
  • Proactively manage client relationships to ensure that targets are achieved for contract retention levels and renewal of premiums issued
  • Work towards telephony KPIs and deliver new client implementations
  • Handle between 40-60 renewals per month for your own clients to achieve a retention rate of 95%
  • Deliver consultancy services to clients regarding product options specialist service such as onsite training and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and actively promote additional services with a target of achieving £10,000 new business per quarter
  • Achieve three self-generated new business client wins per quarter
  • Understand client needs and market changes, providing feedback to senior management in order to develop our proposition and remain ahead of the market
  • Maintain the highest standard of customer service and support to the sales and bid team
  • Maintain personal statistical renewal reports on a daily basis, highlighting at-risk clients and further opportunities

What you bring:

The ideal Relationship Manager will bring a wealth of experience in managing client relationships and a proven track record in achieving retention rates. You will have excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills. Your ability to multi-task and work towards set targets will be key to your success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a variety of audiences.

  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong written communication skills for both internal and external correspondence
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience
  • Multi-task oriented - can accomplish objectives effectively within time-frame given, carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner
  • Willingness to work towards set targets and KPI's including - 75 minutes webinar daily talk time, above 93% premium renewal rate & 90% contract renewal and 35 calls per day
