Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience migrating workloads to AWS (EC2, RDS) is required
- Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering, designing, and guiding the implementations of cloud solutions
- Hands-on experience with implementation using network, security, storage, and database services in AWS
- Experience with automation and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) in a production environment
- Experience administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting a production AWS environment
- Windows Server and Linux administration skills
- VMware administration skills
- Solid AWS networking skills
- Strong communication skills, ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly language
- Previous consulting experience with small to mid-size organisations
Desirable Skills
- Experience with other cloud hyperscalers (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Deep understanding of cloud cost models with hands-on ability to implement best practices or suggest improvements
- Experience with scripting in a production environment (e.g. Python, Powershell)
- Experience in deploying and/or operating Oracle or SQL Servers
- Experience with Git and building CI/CD pipelines
- Relevant AWS certifications
