Job Title: Learning Mentor Salary/ Rate: £90-£110 per day Location: Stockport Sector / Industry: Secondary Education

Do you have experience working with pupils in the classroom? Or, are you passionate about supporting people with barriers to learning?

Are you looking for a role that offers flexibility and an opportunity to gain more experience?

We are working with a large Secondary School in the Stockport area who have a requirement for a Learning Mentor to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils that are struggling to meet their target grade. You will be working with pupils that are low ability and have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, Learning difficulties, Dyslexia etc. It is essential that you are able to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff as well as having a pro-active approach.

  • Have previous experience working as a Learning Mentor or transferrable roles
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Have at least 6 months school based experience of working in with children or vulnerable people
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
