An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HGV Mechanic/Technician to join our established client at their Barking Site.
Reporting to the Site Manager you will be responsible for:
- Inspection and diagnosis of LGV/HGV vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards to ensure they are safe, legal and roadworthy at all times
- Conduct thorough inspections
- Collaborate with the tam
- Risk assessments
- PMIs
- Routine maintenance
- Oil changes, filter replacements and tyre rotations
- Service vehicles and trainers
- Attend and respond to out of hours breakdowns as part of a all out rota
- Health and safety regulations
- Aim for 100% MOT pass rate on presented vehicles
- Any other ad hoc duties as and when requested
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with diagnostic tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Proactive problem solving skills
- Minimum 3 years experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV Mechanics
- IRTEC Certification
- HGV Class 1 or 2 License(desirable)
Hours 40 per week between 05.00 to 17.00 with a proposed 07.00-16.00 as standard
