KS1 Teaching Assistant

Do you have a love for education and a desire to make a positive impact on young children?

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a thriving Primary School in central Stockport. You will be working within a KS1 class, supporting the class teacher in delivering a stimulating and engaging learning environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Class Teacher: You will work alongside the teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Delivering Learning Activities: You will assist with the delivery of fun and interactive lessons, tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Providing Individualised Support: You will work with pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis, offering tailored support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Building Relationships: You will develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Creating Resources: You will help create engaging learning materials to support effective teaching.
  • Maintaining Records: You will assist with the recording and monitoring of pupil progress.

What are we looking for?

  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach.
  • A strong sense of team spirit and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues
  • Experience working in a school environment (desirable but not essential)
