Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customs documentation, including reporting and clearing vessels.
  • Coordinate with port authorities regarding berthing schedules.
  • Provide daily updates to stevedores on discharge/loading prospects.
  • Plan and organise tasks to ensure the highest level of service to vessels and customers.

Experience

  • A degree is not required, but if so preferably from Maritime Operations Management.
  • We will accept other applicants from Maritime courses, as well as people from any course who can demonstrate their willingness to get into the shipping industry.
  • Enthusiastic candidates interested in a shipping career are encouraged to apply, as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes pressured environment while ensuring efficient customer service and compliance with port health and safety requirements.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and a CRM system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships confidently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and work well within a small team.
