We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager for a children's residential service, catering to children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) or Learning Disabilities (LD). The home is a 3-bed facility, and the role involves making a positive impact on the lives of the children and young people in our care.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the residential service, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Work closely with the management team to implement care plans and strategies that support the individual needs of each child or young person.
  • Lead and motivate a team of care professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating a commitment to the personal development and well-being of children and young people.
  • Monitor and review the progress of children and young people, making necessary adjustments to their care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and undertake sleep-in duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent.
  • Preferred 2 years of experience working in a residential children's home or similar environments.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework governing residential care for children and young people.
