Our client, is on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in London. This role is perfect for a qualified accountant with a robust background in Financial Accounting and a knack for supporting period end processing, accounting and consolidation. The successful candidate will also be involved in the production of annual statutory accounts and Head Office submissions, working collaboratively with finance colleagues across entities.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you'll play an integral role in maintaining the financial health of the company. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include everything from monthly and quarterly processing to regulatory reporting. You'll oversee various financial accounting operations, maintain books and records, facilitate compliance with accounting standards, support auditors, and liaise with other finance departments. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage large datasets, and has a keen eye for continuous improvement.
- Monthly and Quarterly processing, accounting and consolidation
- Head Office, Board and Regulatory Reporting
- Oversight of various Financial Accounting and Financial Operations processes and reconciliations
- Maintenance and upkeep of books, records and financial close processes
- Facilitating and ensuring Compliance with Accounting Standards and Internal Controls Framework
- Supporting auditors in their review of Accounting Records, Internal Reporting and Statutory Accounts
- Liaison with other finance departments
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant position brings a wealth of experience in financial accounting along with exposure to financial close processes. You are a qualified accountant with at least three years' relevant work experience. Your expertise extends to Oracle ERP systems, expenses processing, allocations, IFRS accounting, and you have demonstrated your ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. You're known for your strong time management skills, ability to work well within a team as well as individually, and your knack for handling large datasets.
- Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years relevant work experience
- Experience in Financial Accounting and exposure to financial close processes
- Working knowledge and experience of Oracle ERP
- Working Knowledge of Expenses Processing and Allocations
- Knowledge and Experience of IFRS Accounting
- Self-starter that can own assigned projects to deliver to target project timelines
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders
- Experience of delivering month end close, preparation of journals such as accruals/ prepayments
- Demonstrated ability working in a fast paced environment with strong time management skills
- Ability to work well within a team as well as individually
