Head of Department - Employment Solicitor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic individual to join our busy and successful Employment team as Head of Department. We are seeking a skilled Employment Solicitor with over 6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who can demonstrate leadership, initiative, and creativity.

Day to day of the role:

  • Lead the Employment team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Provide expert legal advice to both respondents and claimants, including handling settlement agreements.
  • Manage files autonomously while maintaining a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Develop and supervise the team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Focus on obtaining commercial solutions for clients and contributing to the growth of the practice.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE.
  • Strong experience representing both respondents and claimants.
  • Proven track record in autonomously managing files.
  • Previous supervision/management experience is essential.
  • Dynamic, detail-oriented, and ambitious for career progression.
