Job Requirements of this Primary Teacher job in Birmingham

  • The primary teacher must hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent). Have experience working with primary-aged children or secondary children, or the desire to adapt to secondary age, is required for the primary teacher.
  • The primary teacher should have the ability to manage challenging behaviours associated with a range of complex conditions, including ASD, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties.
  • A proven track record of supporting students with special educational needs is essential for the primary teacher.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to provide targeted support to students are crucial qualities for the primary teacher.
  • Additionally, the primary teacher must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people aged 11-16 years who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Many of the students have exhibited challenging behaviours in previous settings and have a history of multiple school changes and periods out of full-time education.
