Accounts Assistant – Credit Controller

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 5:00pm
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant – Credit Controller to provide a professional and efficient service to our clients Finance Department. This role involves administering the sales ledger, ensuring timely collection of debts, and assisting with general accounting duties.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Contact customers to request or chase payment and resolve any invoice queries in collaboration with the relevant departments.
- Raise credit notes and review order requests as needed.
- Open new customer accounts and perform credit checks.
- Issue and manage manual/service invoices and debt collection procedures.
- Allocate payments received to maintain ledger accounts.
- Handle data entry, manage petty cash, and perform credit card and fuel card reconciliations.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, post cashbook entries, and handle Intrastat reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a financial environment, particularly in a sales ledger role.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at debt collecting and query resolution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good commercial acumen.
- Self-disciplined, efficient, proactive, and confident in nature.
