Procurement & Supply Chain Analyst

A phenomenal opportunity to support the development of the procurement function and all systems in processes in line with Procurement and supply chain alongside supporting Procurement system readiness throughout the product lifecycle management processes.

Job Title: Business Analyst, Procurement and Supply Chain

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience

Location: Stevenage / Bolton / Bristol

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

  • Analysis of key trends / issues in Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC)
  • Trend and performance analysis of key data and performance indicators for the P&SC team in order to facilitate pro-active performance management.
  • Manipulation and preparation of Bills of Materials reports to ensure robust cost target and achievement tracking for Product lifecycle (PLC) activities.
  • Provide data and analysis to support Procurement system readiness for PLC activities and throughout the product lifecycle management processes.
  • Act as a change agent in completing process continuous improvement projects within the P&SC team
  • Support the development of the function and all systems in processes in line with the P&SC Roadmap
  • Handle the delivery of process development activities within the function
  • Assist in the development of and supervise the efficiency of appropriate governance systems within P&SC
  • Where required, prepare detailed briefs and reports for Senior Management reviews, including potential issues/risks and recommendations
  • Provide functional training on analysing data (as required) to department.
  • Provide analytical expertise and support regarding the development and improvement of processes, tools and templates

What we're looking for from you:

  • Suitable qualification in business, finance or relevant supply chain discipline (or validated experience in an analytical role).
  • Commercial savvy.
  • Passion for continuous improvement
  • Good team building and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good knowledge of cost make-up and pricing
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP (preferably Materials Management or Finance)
  • Ability to operate within a European cultural framework
  • Good Project Management skills
  • Awareness of Risk Management
  • Highly developed planning and organisation skills
  • Experience of analysing business improvements
  • Familiarisation of data analytical software packages (i.e. Power BI, Google Analytics, Dataiku etc.)
