Freight Sales Executive needed
Are you experienced in lead generation or general sales within freight?
I am on the hunt for a Freight Sales Executive to join a dynamic team of 6 for a freight forwarding company in Shepperton. The successful candidate will join a young and vibrant team and will primarily focus on developing business with clients within the freight sector. This is an office-based, Monday-Friday role, working from 9am-5:30pm.
**Main duties:
- Engage in cold calling to build your own customer base from scratch, with an expectation of 80-100 calls daily, rising with experience.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of new leads and manage client relationships.
- Perform client account management duties.
- Quote customers.
- Pass successful bookings on to the operations team.
- Manage a national client list (as well as a small number of overseas clients).
- Visit major clients and customers (approx. once per month) to strengthen relationships.
- Work towards personal sales targets/KPI's.
**Key requirements:
- Strong freight forwarding sales experience.
- A bubbly, friendly personality that fits into a vibrant and energetic team.
- A driver's license is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Resilience and determination to meet and exceed sales targets.
