Group Audit (GA) is seeking a Lead Principal Auditor to join its Conduct & Supervision audit team to drive enhanced audit coverage of Conduct and Supervision risks and controls globally. The role will be based in London and will report directly to the Principal Audit Manager (PAM) - Conduct and Supervision based in London.
You will support the PAM in planning, executing, and reporting the results of internal audits of controls over Conduct and Supervision related risks and controls. This will include undertaking audit assignments, drafts audit findings / reports for review by audit management, facilitates tracking of findings and validates closure of findings. You will also partner with other audit teams globally to ensure comprehensive audit coverage of Conduct & Supervision related risks and controls, proactively developing and maintaining professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and related control and support functions.

Your key responsibilities
- Supports the PAM in planning, executing, and reporting the results of internal audits of controls over Conduct and Supervision related risks and controls
- Undertakes audit assignments, drafts audit findings / reports for review by audit management, facilitates tracking of findings and validates closure of findings
- Executes day-to-day operational audit work and contributes to the delivery of audits (including the updating of Risk Assessment Profiles and Group Audit's Continuous Audit Assessment [CAA] process)
- Undertakes all aspects of audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach including identification of key risks, documentation of process flows and key controls, testing controls to determine whether they are properly designed and operating effectively, and documenting audit work in accordance with Group Audit's (GA's) methodology and standards
- Partners with other audit teams globally to ensure comprehensive audit coverage of Conduct & Supervision related risks and controls
- Communicates openly with GA management and internal stakeholders; keeps them informed of potential issues and escalates problems/delays promptly
Your skills and experience
- An in-depth knowledge and experience of financial services and extensive external or internal auditing experience
- Professional credentials, including degree level education and a relevant professional qualification.
- The ability to demonstrate the meeting of client needs in a work environment
- Excellent team working capabilities and an ability to build strong business and team relationships
- Project management and planning skills
