Operations Accountant

Henderson Brown is partnering exclusively with our industry-leading client who are seeking an Operational Accountant.
Key responsibilities but not limited to
- Develop and enhance weekly reporting processes.
- Compile and analyse operational P&L costs, address variances, and correct errors.
- Oversee labour costs and monitor ERP finance errors.
- Compile and close month-end P&L, create and post journals.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and generate KPI reports.
- Investigate costing variances and communicate findings to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Assist with project costings and act as the first point of contact for finance queries.
- Reconcile stock movements and prepare forecasts.
- Support manufacturing in cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure finance SOPs are up to date.
- Identify and address personal training needs.
- Assist team members with financial inquiries and data analysis.
The ideal candidate will
- Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.
- High proficiency in Excel and a self-motivated attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with operational staff.
