Payroll / Accounts Assistant - Southport

We are seeking an experienced Payroll/Accounts Assistant for a full-time, permanent position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement, with the potential to transition and further develop in your career.
The successful candidate will join a small team and assist in various aspects of payroll and accounts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process end-to-end payroll using SAGE, including starters, leavers, holiday pay, sickness, and absences.
- Run payslips, check timesheets for payment adjustments, and maintain and reconcile company pension auto-enrolments.
- Handle PAYE/NI and other payroll deductions, processing P45's, P60's, and statutory payments
- Complete all payroll year-end requirements.
- Match and process supplier invoices to purchase orders and credit notes using SAGE.
- Produce monthly customer statements and progress payments, process sales invoices and credit notes.
- Reconcile purchase payments and sales receipts, assist with payment runs.
- Assist with the preparation of month-end/year-end accounts, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets, and monthly VAT returns.
- Liaise with brokers and internal directors regarding insurances and utilities.
