Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team in Solihull. What you'll do:

As a Finance Assistant, your role will be integral to the smooth running of the organisation. You will be responsible for generating clinic and theatre billing invoices, liaising with other departments to resolve queries, managing mail distribution, monitoring financial applications, conducting banking activities, and handling various payment methods. Your ability to multitask, coupled with your keen eye for detail, will ensure that you excel in this dynamic role.

  • Generate clinic and theatre billing invoices/statements
  • Liaise with other departments and insurance companies to resolve queries
  • Undertake general finance, office and administrative duties as required
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail distribution
  • Monitor financial applications
  • Conduct banking activities and reconcile accounts
  • Input invoices into the Purchase Ledger
  • Prepare monthly invoices for NHS services
  • Field telephone inquiries and provide reception coverage as needed
  • Handle various payment methods, including cash, cheques and credit cards

What you bring:

The ideal Finance Assistant candidate will bring a wealth of skills to the table. You are educated to A level standard or equivalent, with accounting qualifications or relevant experience. Your numeracy skills are strong, complemented by computer literacy and familiarity with internet use and Microsoft Office Suite. You have a proven track record in office administration or finance, demonstrating your ability to thrive in such roles. Your interpersonal skills make you a valuable team player, while your excellent communication abilities enable you to liaise effectively with colleagues at all levels.

  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • Accounting qualifications or qualified by experience
  • Numeracy, computer literacy & familiarity with Internet and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with Xero and/or other accounting package
  • Proven track record in office administration/finance
  • Proven interpersonal skills and team player
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, problem solve and work under pressure
