What You Will Do:
- Develop Body Structure Dimensional brochures, ensuring dimensional requirements are incorporated seamlessly.
- Effectively cascade dimensional inputs from initial concept design through to Job 1 implementation.
- Guarantee the dimensional content of Special Characteristics Summary Sheets (SCSS) is understood and completed accurately for each part.
- Collaborate with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet stringent targets.
- Coach and audit CAD Engineers as required, enhancing the overall quality of designs.
- Resolve issues through robust data analysis and effective communication with all levels of the team.
What You Will Bring:
- A degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, paired with extensive knowledge in GD&T.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5/6, with a strong understanding of automotive BIW design and body construction.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging effectively.
- Experience in problem-solving tools (e.g., 6 panel, PPS (8D), FMEA) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge in Digital Variation Analysis (DVA) tools and measurement planning is desirable.
