Our client is a Bristol based wholesale company, and they are currently seeking a Full-time, Permanent, Night Shift Warehouse Manager to join their busy nights team based in Yate, Bristol.

Our client has been established for over 50 years and are one of the largest independent foodservice companies in the Southwest. They supply a full range of frozen, chilled and ambient foods, fresh and frozen seafood, together with an extensive range of non-food catering products.
The role:
They are looking for a Night Shift Warehouse Manager responsible for maintaining the smooth operations of a fast-moving and busy logistics environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of Supervisors and Warehouse Operatives and will be key in motivating them to achieve set targets.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods for the night function.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met.
- Take responsibility for the security of the warehouse, loading bays and stock.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with planning the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organise special requirements for certain stock, such as temperature-controlled goods, fragile products or goods with certain allergens.
- Manage, coach and train team leaders and warehouse personnel across the night shift.
- Ensure all orders are correctly prepared, packed and loaded on to the appropriate company vehicle and temperatures are maintained within the company's critical control points (CCP's).
- Complete all warehouse checks, forms and paperwork in a timely manner.
The person:
The Nights Warehouse Manager will be expected to have the following skills:
- Experience of managing a warehouse team.
- An understanding of the legislation which governs warehouse management.
- Confident leader with a strong management style, willing to listen but enjoy the challenge of driving improvements and efficiencies.
- Understanding of the challenges faced with delivering fresh, frozen and ambient goods.
- Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Able to effectively prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines.
- Understand the need for quality and health and safety requirements and the importance of compliance. Appreciate the need for achieving BRC standards.
- Confident with Lady Lodge (or equivalent) system and strong computer literacy.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to overcome obstacles and barriers.
- Must be conscientious, trustworthy, reliable and have a flexible attitude to suit the needs of the business.
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate at all levels.
- Experience of working night shifts is desirable.
- Bendy and Counterbalance Forklift License.
