  • Responsible for: Contractors on site including cleaners

We are looking for a dedicated Site Manager to oversee all aspects of site management for a group of educational institutions, ensuring the fabric and grounds of the schools are well-maintained. This role involves a wide range of duties including security, cleanliness, maintenance, and refurbishment. The successful candidate will be proactive, with a strong focus on health & safety, and will work closely with the Head of Schools to improve the school environment.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Oversee the health & safety of multiple sites.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance of school buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Communicate effectively with site staff to meet the school's needs.
  • Monitor the performance of school cleaners and maintain a clean, tidy, and well-maintained environment.
  • Delegate tasks to site staff or external contractors, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Manage and supervise maintenance contracts and improvement schemes.
  • Act as the first point of contact for regular contractors to ensure value for money and service delivery.
  • Carry out regular checks and inspections of the premises, equipment, and grounds, keeping accurate records.
  • Manage the security systems of the premises, including acting as a key holder.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and school policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in site management, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent DIY and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and monitor expenditure.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Competent in using IT systems to maintain records and manage work requests.
  • Knowledge of heating systems and general building maintenance.
