Salary: £600 - £700 Per Day Outside IR35

We are looking for capable and credible Senior Procurement Professionals who can navigate the world of Private Commercial Enterprise across Global FTSE 250 businesses and SME's who focus on Manufacturing. You will need strategic knowledge of Procurement across Private, Public and Government Contract regulations. Working closely with Cabinet and the Ministry of Defence.

SC Clearance will be needed to obtain this role and it would be of great benefit if you were already security cleared.

Key Requirement:

Working to Commercial Strategy lead (see above) there are two vacancies with each embedded in one of the operations teams below:

  • Testing & Trials - working to construct and deliver highly complex science and testing facilities/solutions to enable future warhead solution (B this role will require highest security classification either at start date of within 6 months of start). The facilities are closely aligned to pharmaceutical or data centre type solutions
  • Metal & Materials Production - develop make/buy solutions for new metal production factories and non explosive materials manufacturing. This is more traditional factor or processing plants seen in UK manufacturing

The Commercial Managers will report into Commercial Strategy Lead and develop solutions aligned to needs of Head of Strategic Sourcing

  • Commercial Acumen - experienced in translating business needs into a commercial strategy and deep understanding of core commercial risks
  • Experience - Must have experience of complex commercial strategies in excess of £500m in either a construction project or major complex programme (e.g defence or rail project)
  • Leadership & Influence - must have core skills to produce effective strategy documents, present to C-suite executive and influence decision making
  • Data led - have ability to review and analysis business and commercial data to create insightful recommendations
