A leading business operating in the construction engineering market is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in the Basingstoke area. In this exciting position, the successful candidate will be supporting on a number of diverse temporary and permanent projects, where they will be designing and providing their knowledge of geotechnical structures. The company have promised this will be a fruitful role and will allow the successful candidate to delve into new areas of knowledge and build upon their existing experience.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
- Designing both temporary and permanent geotechnical structures.
- Creating designs for structural and civil schemes as well as giving input into schemes from other disciplines, ensuring these are reviewed and checked.
- Undertaking extensive surveys and inspections of geotechnical structures.
- Preparing reports based off of the findings from these investigations.
- Ensuring feasibility is understood.
- Working on project programmes as needed.
- Supervising and, where needed, training junior members of the team.
What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role must possess a relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification and in addition to this they must have at least 5 years of experience within a comparable role. Excellent communication skills are vital in this role as well as knowledge of engineering software.
Applicants must have a valid UK driving license and it would be beneficial to have access to a car, but not essential.
