**Job Title: Outreach Tutor

Salary: £25 per hour

Location: Hackney Start Date: September 2024

If you are a passionate SEN educator with lots of experience in teaching Maths and English, then brace yourself for a rewarding role this September!

As we are approaching a new term, GSL Education London is looking for a qualified and dedicated Outreach Tutor to join one of its client schools in Hackney. The role involves providing tailored English and Maths tuition to students with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

**Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in English and Maths.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving their academic goals.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external agencies to support students' educational and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress.

**Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English and Maths to students with SEN or SEMH.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and SEMH challenges and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential.

**Desirable:

  • Experience working in outreach or tutoring roles with vulnerable or disadvantaged students.

You are required to have the following:

  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us
  • Two professional child related references
  • An Updated CV
