Finance Manager (Permanent) - South Lancashire
Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and friendly environment? This is a small organisation located in the beautiful South Lancashire countryside, and they're seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis.
About the Role:

  • Location: South Lancashire (3 days on-site, 1 day working from home)
  • Salary: Up to £60,000 (pro-rated for a 4-day working week)
  • Working Hours: 4 days per week
  • Reporting To: Managing Director
  • Team Management: Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all financial transactions posted onto the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts, along with detailed financial performance reports and commentaries for the senior leadership team.
  • Leading the preparation of yearly budgets and cash flow forecasts to support strategic planning.
  • Managing accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and stock adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the integrity of financial records.
  • Preparing year-end accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Managing VAT returns and ensuring timely submission.
  • Overseeing weekly banking operations, ensuring financial controls are maintained.

About You:

  • ACCA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar financial leadership role.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, with a thorough understanding of financial processes and controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear financial guidance to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in managing and developing team members is an advantage.
