Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Site Engineer to oversee site operations, manage quality control, and ensure work aligns with project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RC frames and experience working within a Tier 1 environment. You will play a key role in the construction phase, setting out, surveying, and managing the technical aspects of the build, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate setting out and surveying to guide construction works
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure RC frame work is executed as per design and specification
  • Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Prepare daily site reports and documentation of site activities and progress
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring quality and performance on-site
  • Maintain communication with project stakeholders, keeping them informed of site progress and challenges
  • Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and other documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally in RC frame and Tier 1 civil engineering projects
  • Strong technical skills in setting out, surveying, and quality control
  • Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Total Station)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and liaise with stakeholders
  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related field
  • CSCS card (required), and additional qualifications such as SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
