Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the Finance Manager in various accounting activities, including sales and purchase ledger management, banking, and account reconciliations. This position is a fantastic chance for an AAT qualified individual or graduate looking to complete ACCA to apply their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What you'll do:

  • Perform daily accounting tasks supporting the Finance Manager
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers, banking, and account reconciliations
  • Handle basic administration tasks as required
  • Address queries raised by staff or external clients or providers
  • Process invoices and maintain cash book
  • Liaise with third-party providers, wholesale customers, and suppliers
  • Update and maintain procedural documentation

What you bring:

  • At least 12 months' experience within retail or similar role preferred
  • AAT qualified/graduate looking to complete ACCA
  • Experience using Microsoft software packages (incl. Word and Excel)
  • Experience using Xero and Dext desirable but not essential
  • High level of accuracy
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to confidently deal with company stakeholders
  • Solutions focused approach
  • Ability to prioritise workload
