£85,000 + 25% BONUS + STRONG PENSION

WEST MIDLANDS

A large UK bank with vast opportunities across the business for growth and expansion of skills is seeking a new Senior Credit Risk Manager to look over all products for the retail, SME and commercial products they offer.

THE COMPANY

This lender provides both secured lending and savings accounts. They are renowned for having a great culture with a family feel. The business have a challenger mindset and are trying to gradually grow their book. The teams are also small giving a great chance to have ownership and drive change, especially in this role.

THE ROLE

Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Credit Risk Manager to lead the credit risk portfolio performance for the business.

Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to and shape the Credit Risk Insights agenda by utilizing the current Credit MI suite and driving the creation of innovative reports and dashboards
  • Translate data into meaningful insights that lead to concrete actions for improving or mitigating the credit risk within the portfolio
  • Enhance the reporting suite by proactively seeking efficiency improvements, developing better visualization methods, and enriching content
  • Lead credit risk analysis initiatives, including in-depth examinations, performance segmentation, and strategic evaluations
  • Execute credit risk analytical projects across the full credit lifecycle, encompassing all products and brands, to support the team, the broader risk function, and key business stakeholders
  • Oversee team workloads and lead groups focused on MI and analytics projects

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in first- or second-line credit risk
  • Experience working on secured lending is beneficial
  • Lending experience is essential - unsecured is fine
  • Analytical skills

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • £85,000 base salary
  • Discretionary Bonus up to 25%
