Transport Officer

We are currently hiring for an Transport Officer for our large client in Taunton located in County Hall. This role is due to start in June until December 2024. You will be required to manage transport requirement for the Sedgemoor Area, for any health related transport.

Job Description: -

  • Communicate with various different transport providers and requesters.
  • Manage transport by either tendering via tendering software, utilising volunteer drivers or own in house fleet, or working with approved taxi providers for short notice bookings.

Candidate: -

  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when entering Transport requests.
  • Ability to prioritise is essential.
  • Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Shift Time: -

  • Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm
  • 37 hrs a week.
  • Work from home - however required to attend the office for training and line management meetings, so home address must be a commutable distance.
