DUTIES
Your duties as a Trainee Mechanical Building Services Engineer will include:
- Attend HNC/HND (dependant on entry qualifications) in building services engineering on a day release basis
- Assist Design & Contracts Engineers in carrying out their duties, including procurement of materials at competitive rates and ensuring prompt delivery to meet essential deadlines. Arrange for suitably experienced and qualified labour to install the required services on site in accordance with the contract programme and Health & Safety requirements
- Prepare relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Prepare competitive estimates including obtaining prices from suppliers and sub-contractors
- Dealing with correspondence, telephone calls and emails
- Maintain effective filing system
- Assist in design department including preparation of CAD drawings
- Work in accordance with group ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards
- Comply with all aspects of the corporate Health & Safety Policy
- Comply with all aspects of the Group policies and procedures
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- GCSE or A Level qualifications which are to include Maths and English
- Keen, enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent organisational & time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills
