A growing Consultancy in Nottingham is seeking a dynamic, professional Construction Project Manager to join their team.

The Construction Project Manager Role

As a Project Manager, you will be at the heart of managing diverse construction projects. This includes collaborating closely with clients and other consultants, ensuring successful project execution from inception through completion.

This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a range of exciting and challenging schemes across both the private and public sectors, including commercial, retail, residential, and education projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Developing and agreeing on the client's brief from inception.
  • Coordinating, managing, and communicating with clients, stakeholders, and consultants.
  • Overseeing project control both pre- and post-contract, including financial management.
  • Developing and managing procurement strategies and activities.
  • Participating in risk, value, and opportunities management, including facilitating workshops.
  • Chairing meetings and preparing reports such as PEP, Strategy Reports, Risk Registers, and Progress Reports.
  • Leading and participating in new business development and bid preparation.

The Construction Project Manager

  • NEC accreditation is ideal, with experience in administering NEC contracts.
  • BSc/MSc in Project Management or a construction related field.
  • Previous Project Management experience with a UK Construction Consultancy
  • Membership in a construction-related professional body (RICS, CIOB, CIBSE, etc.) is desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building technology and construction principles.
  • Proficiency in day-to-day programming, planning, monitoring project progress and expenditure.
  • Clear understanding of risk management, including identification, management, mitigation, and risk transfer.
