About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trust Grade Registrar in General Medicine to join our dynamic team in Yorkshire. This is a 12-month fixed-term position offering a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience across various specialities within general medicine.

The successful candidate will work closely with specialty teams in acute care, cardiology, respiratory, diabetes/endocrinology, gastroenterology, stroke, and elderly medicine.

The Successful Candidate will:

Provide high-quality care for both inpatient and outpatient workloads.

Out of Hours Cover: Participate in the out of hours rota across two hospital sites, ensuring continuous and excellent patient care.

Engage in scheduled educational opportunities within the trust and specialities, fostering personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities and Duties -

  • Provision of care with responsibility for the management of patients with acute and chronic conditions including complex cases
  • Referral of patients to other specialities as appropriate
  • Out-patient activities/clinics
  • Involvement in specialty and cross-specialty multi-disciplinary teams and meetings
  • Involvement in relevant administration duties
  • Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate
  • Active involvement in audit and clinical governance including service improvement activities

Requirements -

Medical Qualification: A recognised medical degree with full GMC registration. -

Experience: Previous experience in general medicine and its specialties is essential.

Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Flexibility: Willingness to participate in out of hours cover and adapt to the dynamic needs of the trust.
