SEN Classroom Assistant - September 2024

Are you interested in learning more about children's development and mental health?

Would you like to gain experience working with complex needs and learning disabilities?

We are working with an amazing school based in Banbury to connect a psychology graduate to the role of a SEN Classroom Assistant. Starting in September 2024, the psychology graduate will be working in a classroom environment, alongside teachers and qualified specialists in the school to help students at the school struggling with behaviour, learning disabilities and mental health challenges.

The psychology graduate will supervise and observe students at the same time as giving them consistent support throughout the school day, 8:30 to 3:30. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, the psychology graduate will gain a better development how to best support, preventative measures and different therapeutic techniques can have a positive impact on children's perspective on education and life.

This experience will be an excellent opportunity for psychology graduates to see the careers available in their chosen industry. Professionals will be available to provide guidance and advice. The psychology graduate will witness and encourage student's facing challenges regarding developmental trauma, behaviour disorders, anxiety and mental illness, access a high quality level of education and reach their potential due to flexible and personalised curriculums.
