Job Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their established professional childcare team. The post holder will work as part of a team to provide high standards of childcare and education to the children in the hospital nursery, ensuring the aims and objectives of the nursery are fulfilled and maintaining a safe, caring environment.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide high-quality childcare and education to children aged 6 months to 5 years, and occasionally to children aged 5-12 years during school holidays.
- Act as a key person for a group of children, planning and evaluating activities based on their interests.
- Support colleagues within the team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children, ensuring excellent customer care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 2/3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with children aged 5-12 years old.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Childcare experience or experience within a caring role.
- Experience working with children aged 6 months to 5 years and/or experience in a care role.
- Ability to observe, plan, and evaluate activities.
- Basic computer skills.
