A client of mine is looking for a Management Accountant to join their growing team, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller with lots of progression opportunities.
The role sits within a professional services firm, offering hybrid working, exceptional benefits and a competitive salary of £70-80k.
It is essential that you have had finance experience from Singapore/ India regions as this role will include ownership of these entites.
The main responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for production of monthly P&L for several multi-national legal entities, including posting journals, cash flow and balance sheets for Singapore and India
- It is essential to have exposure to external audit for Singapore / India entities
- Responsible for preparation of monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Review/prepare quarterly/monthly VAT reporting and other tax filings
- Responsible for reviewing AP, AR, Payroll postings and preparation of the accruals, prepayments, inter company recharges and amortisation journals for month-end
- Responsible for analysis of monthly P&L (actual vs budget/forecast) and preparing commentary for management accounts pack
- Developing relationships with Partners and fee earners to explain variances
- Assist with production of monthly and ad hoc reporting pack(s)
- Responsible for annual budgeting and forecasting of own entities
- Role in preparation of audit files and assistance on annual audit enquiries
- Monitor local cashflow requirements and manage banks within own regions
- Maintain general accounting system and data enquiries
- Drive insightful commentary around the P&L
- Support in the development of financial metrics and tools to support financial reporting
- Provide financial input into commercial initiatives and pricing to maximise profitability
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Skills
- Multicurrency and multi entity experience
- NetSuite knowledge would be extremely advantageous
- Strong excel (Pivot Tables, & VLOOKUP's as a minimum)
- Strong analytical skills and a talent for influencing people
- Demonstrate a high level of professional expertise and insight into the commercial context of the firm
- Highly organised and with a good eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Tenacious and able to work under pressure
- A real desire to understand how our business operates and succeeds
