Job Title: Workshop Controller

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 basic - OTE £37,000

Hours: Monday to Friday

Hawkfield Recruitment is working with a well-established, West Midlands based, family-owned dealer group. We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join the team at their Walsall Dealership.

We are looking for talented individuals to take the business to the next level. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is looking to progress their career within a franchised environment and has the desire and ability to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction results and to work towards achieving targets and objectives.

Responsibilities of Workshop Controller include:

  • Ensuring Business targets and objectives are met, while managing and mentoring a team of technicians and apprentice
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure a seamless service for the customer
  • Scheduling work to meet the customers needs, taking into account the complexity of the job, workshop targets and timings.
  • Recording technician times and writing reports and recommendations
  • Ensuring warranty and manufacturer standards are adhered to
  • Ensuring all service and repair work is carried out on time
  • Ordering Parts
  • Ensuring our technicians are delivering a 'first time' fix
  • Assisting technician with queries and technical challenges to identify a solution

Requirements for Workshop Controller:

  • Qualified Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or Equivalent
  • Previous experience working on a wide variety of vehicles
  • Good diagnostics skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a Dealership environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
