MFL Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time MFL Teacher to work at an excellent partnership school near Goole/Selby This is a temporary position to start 2nd September 2024 and will last until December 20th in the first instance. This is a role to cover an absence due to maternity leave, so there is the potential for this role to increase in duration. Payment for this position will be linked to the main teaching pay scale, which currently works out at between £30,000 and £46,525 per year, scaled to a daily rate of £153.85 to £238.59 per day.

This role will involve teaching French to Key Stage 3 students only. As this role doesn't involve teaching any GCSE classes, and qualified teacher who can speak French but has not yet taught it would be strongly considered for this role. The school has an extremely comprehensive bank of resources available for French, so the planning for this role will be absolutely minimal. ECTs would be strongly considered for this position, and there is the potential to complete a term of your ECT for this role.

This school is located in the Goole/Selby area and has a large onsite car park for those candidates that do drive. It is available via train for candidates who do not have a car but are commuting from Hull or York. This is in a great location from candidates that live in the West Hull villages, in Goole/Selby itself or the surrounding areas, and is very easily accessible from York. The school is part of an academy trust that has schools in the surrounding areas, so this could be a good opportunity to gain more placements in the future.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching French to KS3, or the ability to speak French
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
