This primary school are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience working with students who have Autism, working with them and supporting them on a 1:1 basis.

Do you not currently have experience working with SEN students? Not a problem, if you are a recent graduate with a degree, 6 months child related work experience or at least a Level 2 qualification in Childcare, the school welcomes your application!

We are currently seeking a committed and experienced Special Education Teaching Assistant to work with a Key Stage 2 student with Autism (ASD) in a primary school Clacton-on-Sea.

Your role will involve working 1:1 one with a Year 3 (Key Stage 2) student who has Autism (ASD). You will be responsible for providing catering to their individual educational, behavioural and emotional needs as well as general classroom support.

Experience with additional sensory needs and exhibit behaviours consistent with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) or ASD is desired but not essential.

The role requires a patient, understanding, and proactive individual who can manage challenging behaviours, including kicking, hitting, and running, while providing a safe and supportive learning environment.

The position will be a challenging, but what could be more rewarding then working and supporting a student on a 1:1 basis throughout the academic year and seeing how they progress with your help and care?
