Trading Analytics Manager - Up to £120,000 - London – Energy & Commodities
Job Description:
A dynamic, award-winning energy and sustainability group at the forefront of the transition to a low-carbon economy who specialising in innovative financial and risk management solutions are looking for a Trading Analytics Manager. The successful candidate will lead the Trading Analytics function, focusing on quantitative analysis for European power and gas markets. This includes developing pricing and risk management models, reporting market analysis, and managing a small analytics team with scope for growth.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with traders to develop pricing and risk management models.
- Produce internal and external wholesale market analysis reports.
- Maintain a Model Validation library and ensure consistency across analyses.
- Improve trading desk efficiency, including automation.
- Set strategic goals for the Trading Analytics function.
- Line manage and mentor a team of analysts.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in an energy supply and trading environment.
- Proven skills in model creation, validation, and data analysis.
- Strong background in economics, mathematics, or related fields.
- Leadership experience, with proven ability to coach junior team members.
- Proficiency in Python, Excel, VBA, and SQL.
