Valuation Analyst

Role Overview

An opportunity exists for a Valuation Analyst within the UK Licensed Leisure team. The successful candidates will support the Leisure Division which covers all buying, selling and investing in leisure and trade-related property of every description in the UK.
This role is an opportunity to gain experience in a busy team focused on delivering excellent advice and data to a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities

This role will involve supporting our valuers in London and being involved in the following:

  • Producing market reports
  • Liaising with clients
  • Collecting and analysing data
  • Undertaking due diligence
  • Analysing comparable transactions
  • Inspecting and referencing property
  • Developing valuation models
  • Valuing a range of licensed assets across the UK
  • Reporting to clients

A typical day could involve attending meetings with clients, visiting properties, undertaking due diligence, assisting with valuations and preparing reports. You will gain an understanding of the wide range of work undertaken by property professionals and enjoy the variety of work that makes working in the sector so exciting.

Key Skills

  • Strong analytical skills – both quantitative and qualitative
  • Effective communication style, with the ability to interact with a variety of personality types
  • Interest in and aptitude for Microsoft Excel (though ability is not a prerequisite as you will be taught)
  • An interest in property and the licensed sector

Team Overview

Forming part of the Leisure and Trade division, the Licensed Leisure team advises operators, investors and lenders in the licensed property sector.

We deliver valuation, consultancy and transactional services across the sector and this role will provide the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience contributing to the work we undertake across the UK with clients including Young's, Stonegate, Punch, The Restaurant Group and J D Wetherspoon.

Headquartered in London, we work alongside our specialist colleagues across our network of 131 offices in the UK. There are currently around 60 professionals in the division and we consider ourselves to be the market leaders in our industry.
