Are you passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive in their learning environment? We are looking for a committed and empathetic SEN Learner Assistant to join our team at a primary SEND school in Lambeth, London.
Key Duties:
- Provide personalized support to students with SEN, assisting them in reaching their academic and personal goals.
- Work closely with teachers to follow and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt strategies to suit each child's learning needs.
- Help foster a warm and inclusive classroom environment, focusing on the social and emotional well-being of all pupils.
- Assist in classroom activities, ensuring students receive an engaging and supportive learning experience.
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and stakeholders, offering updates on student progress.
Candidate Profile:
- Prior experience working with SEN students is preferred but not essential.
- A patient, caring attitude and a genuine interest in supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Flexibility in adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the school's location in Lambeth.
Salary & Benefits:
