We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Kettering. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and student development, starting in September on a full-time basis.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to meet students' individual needs.
- Help students overcome learning barriers and foster positive educational experiences.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with students, providing effective guidance and support.
- Encourage students to become independent learners and promote high standards of behaviour and attitudes.
- Create, review, and manage individual learning plans, ensuring accurate daily recording of support data for KPI tracking.
- Uphold a positive Health & Safety culture, reporting any incidents promptly and adhering to safe work systems.
- Commit to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and vulnerable adults.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- GCSEs in English, Science, and Maths with a grade C or above.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- A supportive and reliable individual who can provide consistent assistance to students and teachers.
- A positive attitude to create a productive learning environment.
- Professionalism in building and maintaining relationships with students and staff.
- A safety-conscious approach to all school activities.
