Supply Chain Planner

Job Summary:

This role is essential for supporting the Branded Medical Supply Chain and Surgical Supply Chain teams by managing replenishment duties across a designated range of manufacturers. Responsibilities include handling bespoke customer ordering processes, managing product transfers, and performing other daily tasks as the business evolves.

The role requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, addressing their needs and ensuring a high level of service while meeting the business's key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate should be customer-focused, proficient in MS Outlook, and have intermediate Excel skills, including knowledge of Pivot Tables, V-lookups, and basic formulas.

This position is suited to a self-starter who can work independently or collaboratively within a team.

While a good understanding of supply chain, logistics, or replenishment within the pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, or FMCG sectors is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Training will be provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Replenishment:

  • Execute replenishment tasks efficiently to ensure consistent stock availability.
  • Maintain a service level of 99% or higher.
  • Monitor and follow up on late deliveries and out-of-stock situations.
  • Obtain and review stock information from manufacturers weekly.
  • Ensure customer messaging is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintain lean inventory levels in line with order cycles and departmental or contractual requirements.
  • Minimise the risk of product write-offs.
  • Ensure replenishment adheres to product buying multiples.
  • Adjust purchase order (PO) lines as needed.
  • Perform analysis for reporting and performance tracking.

Range Management:

  • Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency within the managed product range.
  • Manage new product setups and discontinuations.
  • Maintain master product data, including buying multiples.
  • Support product life cycle management.

Customer Order Management:

  • Manage bespoke customer ordering processes, ensuring deadlines are met.

Team Support:

  • Provide support to the supply chain team during annual leave and assist with day-to-day activities.
  • Build and maintain professional, long-term relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and task prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Background in supply chain, FMCG, or pharmaceuticals is advantageous.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret numerical data is beneficial.
  • Capability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
