Management Accountant, Global Brand, Soho, Paying up to £55,000, 9 month FTC

We are working with an extremely well-known and loved consumer brand who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their strong, high performance team in Central London on a 9 month fixed term contract.

This is an ideal role for an immediately available management accountant who is ready to jump into a fast-pace, commercial environment and play an important part in the future profitability, growth and stability of a global brand.

The Role:

  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register including additions, depreciation, amortisation, retirements, and impairments
  • Reconciling additions and retirements and identifying discrepancies which need to be communicated to the wider team e.g Maintenance department
  • Taking responsibility for the Repairs and Maintenance P&L Line
  • Maintaining the weekly Project Approval Request (PAR) Register
  • As part of the PAR process, business partnering with the central operations, property and IT departments
  • Producing financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
  • Analytical review of budget and monthly/quarterly and yearly internal reports; and identifying areas of overspend
  • Reporting on company assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets
  • Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations
  • Carrying out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations

About You:

  • Experience of management accounts preparation and reconciliations
  • Eye for detail and able to work to strict deadlines
  • Confident and professional communicator, comfortable dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, changing/growing environment
  • Good problem solving skills, with ability to probe and establish real issues and identify potential solutions
  • Collaborative approach and enjoy working as part of a team
