The Opportunity

The Operations Finance Controller is part of the management team. Ensure the link between accounting/controlling of the company and the strategic development of the site in relation to the overall group strategy. Acting as a business partner for manager, supply chain manager and any other operations colleagues, supporting local teams with finance expertise during forecast and budget process, during monthly closing and on CAPEX request. Manage the day-to-day processes of the operations controlling, ensuring that relevant controls are in place and adhered to.

Job Summary

  • Support the Operations and Supply Chain functions in achieving the objectives and plans established
  • Be member of local operations leadership team and act as main representative for any financial topics
  • Draw up the Budget according to the structure lay down by the Business Group
  • Ownership of determining the product costing and keeping under control
  • Proactively collaborate with Procurement to raise raw material issues
  • Provide the plant management with analysis of costs evolution, with corrective actions and preventive action plans in order to keep the financials under control
  • Keep a close control on conversion costs, variances (Purchase Price Variance - PPV, Yield, Scrap, Inventory revaluation, Inventory difference, Other variance), Supply Chain costs and G&A costs impacting Operations P&L and propose cost optimization actions
  • Support Operations and Supply Chain colleagues in Capex requests and investments follow-up in accordance with group standards
  • Make the monthly reporting according to the Business Group's format
  • Manage the economic resources needed to achieve the company's objectives and support to improve the company's cash flow
  • Support balance sheet reconciliation for operation related accounts
  • Transfer the Business Group's administration policy and procedures to the local company and control their fulfilment
  • Guarantee conformity with legal, tax and internal requisites of the Group in regard to the company's economic and financial information
  • Guarantee the truthfulness, reliability and compliance with delivery terms of the internal and external economic information
  • Work closely with other team members and will provide cover where and when necessary
  • Contribute on the standardization of controlling procedures in Europe and implement required amendments locally
  • Act as local SAP Key user for controlling module
  • Perform any other reasonable duties required

Personal Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Preferred certification such as CPA, CMA, CIMA
  • 5+ years' experience in a multi-national environment
  • Experience in the international FMCG industry
  • Strong background with financial ERP (especially SAP) would be considered a plus
  • BPC & BI reporting experience preferred
