What You Can Expect
- Location - Farnborough
- Work Type - Permanent OR 6 months contract
- Salary - £110,000 OR £750 per day outside IR35
Key Responsibilities as an Automation Architect
- Work closely with the assigned team, principally with the other technical leads/architects and Automation Engineer(s), to produce and contribute to technical plans/designs across the business.
- Design automations and maintain the everything-as-code architecture document set (including infrastructure as code (IaC)), all of which will utilise DevSecOps cadences, processes and tools. Be able to design the technical components of the system, and where issues occur feedback to the relevant team members and propose improvements/fixes/work arounds in a clear and timely way.
Essential Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Proven experience in guiding the Architectural direction of a similar environment, communicating with all levels of the business.
- Ability to demonstrate systems automation, CI/CD experience, CI/CD, DevSecOps tool chains, including but not limited to, Ansible, Git, Terraform, Kubernetes, Atlassian suite.
- Ability to create and contribute to systems build and post-build automation documentation.
- Strong knowledge of physical and virtual networking, physical and virtual servers, physical and virtual storage, applications, operating systems and associated management software, hypervisors, such as VMware, Hyper-V, K3S/Kubernetes, containers, container repositories and more.
