Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Remote/home based
Salary: £20,217.60-£21,265.92
Hours: 32 hours per week
We are currently seeking a Part Time Finance Assistant to join a large provider of specialist educational services supporting over 900 children and young people, and employing over 1,000 staff.
The Role: To support the Financial Operations Manager in both the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments to ensure that all supplier invoices are paid, all client invoices are raised correctly, all moneys owed are received in a timely manner and all financial processes and procedures are adhered to.
The key tasks include processing and paying supplier invoices, resolve supplier invoice queries, assisting with bank reconciliations, preparation of client sales invoices and maintain sales ledger records, monitor and reconcile payments received and balances due on client accounts, calculation of fee uplifts, ensure collection of outstanding funds is made in a timely manner and that all client queries are dealt with promptly and assist with cash flow forecasting of income.
This will be a busy, high volume role but will give you great exposure to the financial operations of a growing, multisite, national organisation.
The role will be home based but with a requirement to travel occasionally to Gloucestershire where the Central Office provides financial support, leadership and governance to multiple sites across the UK.
Experience:
- Recent experience of working in a finance team.
- Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail
- Able to work to deadlines
- A flexible and adaptable approach with a "can-do" attitude
- An outgoing and confident character with excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Good Excel & Word skills
- Previous finance systems experience, ideally Unit 4/Agresso
- GCSE Maths & English, or equivalent
