£26,000 - £32,000 (+ Performance Bonus)

Working Hours: 08.00 – 17.00 (1 hour lunch)

Our reputable furniture manufacturing client is currently looking for a Project Controller to Assist management and prioritisation of all customer projects including delivery and installation planning of all projects for the business.

Main Responsibilities of the Project Controller

  • Assist the PCM to manage customer projects whilst driving excellent internal and external communication
  • Manage site delivery dates; coordinate vested products procedure where instigated
  • Check site to ensure readiness for installation (plan PCM visits where appropriate and/or securing written and photographic evidence from the customer)
  • Create RAMS packs, actively obtain competent sign off and timely sending to customer; maintain records
  • Ensure Site Pack with all site documentation including required H&S documentation is prepared, checked and available on time to Site Teams
  • Have a clear understanding of the way a project is costed to take full benefit of changes in scope of works to maximise profit
  • Lead process for customer complaints; record, analyse and report
  • Liaise with customers post sale; ensure service, maintenance and aftercare is delivered as needed
  • Liaise with the H&S Manager and H&S Consultant in the planning and documentation of audits and improvement actions for H&S processes
  • Manage small orders from receipt to despatch
  • Monitor project spend against budget (including remedials)
  • Negotiate and agree site delay compensation where relevant with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Prepare installation sub-contractor questionnaire/documentation
  • Support the development of a Project Strategy in line with Company objectives and growth aspirations with the PCM
  • Update install cost analysis spreadsheet and enter data per project

Experience and Skills required

  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects
  • Confident, focused and driven to succeed, inspiring others
  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner, and under pressure
  • Construction site based experience and knowledge
  • Ability to make decisions especially in challenging circumstances
  • Knowledge of relevant and current H&S legislation
  • Excellent administrative software skills (specifically Excel)
  • Organised, detail orientated and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Professional maturity and resilience
  • Be prepared to work and operate nationwide
