The role entails working front of house at a research centre providing high calibre, customer focussed security services. Bank holidays will be paid at double the time rates.
The job responsibilities of the Security Officer are:
- Applicant must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.
- First Aid at Work qualification ideal but training will be provided.
- Flexibility with shifts as this role will include working nights on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday and covering sickness and annual holidays.
- Willingness to attend training and cover shifts for other Regional FSI contracts.
- Carry out patrols, supervise access, key and CCTV controls.
- To ensure all Security Incident/Loss/Accident Reports are completed before shift handover.
- To assess and report potential safety hazards so that remedial action may be taken.
- Excellent customer service skills, experience working in a corporate environment is highly desirable.
- Have a polite and professional attitude to internal and external customers.
- The ability to work independently or as a team.
- Must be computer literate.
- Excellent level of English both written and spoken.
- 1 year minimum experience in the security industry
- Front of house experience working at an industrial premises is highly desirable.
